A charming if somewhat whimsical, chess set with the main pieces in the style of traditional English playing cards. This very unusual set depicts characters with expressive faces for the King, Queen and Bishop,with an equally impressive, sculptured face for the Knight. The Rook is represented by a castellated tower,the Pawn is a carved piece topped with an orb.
